Encore Team & Individual Photos will be held on Wed, June 17! Please come in your encore swimsuit (or in black if you don't have one yet). We will have individual photos starting at 5pm, and we will start lining up for the team photo at 5:45pm, so don't be late!
Open swim will take place after photos, so families and close friends are welcome to get in the water once we are finished (around 6:30-7:30pm)!
How many laps do you think your swimmer can swim? 20, 60, 100?!! Come find out! We will be hosting our annual swim-a-thon in early July during a normal weekday practice (5-7:45pm).
Want to help us plan and run our swim-a-thon? There is the technical side (setting up donation pages for our swimmers) and the fun side (candy for laps swum, coach pie-in-the-face). We'd love to have two volunteers help us run the event. Reach out to Juli if this is for you!

We're gearing up for our second swim meet, and the excitement is already building. Here are the key details to help everyone stay prepared and focused:
Encore Swim Team is a summer competitive race team in San Jose that practices at Pioneer High School. We're a splashy, spirited crew of swimmers, families, and coaches who believe in hard work, loud cheering, and snacks after practice (hey, motivation comes in many forms).
Whether you're here to drop time, make friends, or just figure out how to wear a swim cap without pulling out half your hair—Encore is the place for you. We train hard, laugh often, and believe that every swimmer—from the first-time flipper to the seasoned butterflyer—has something awesome to bring to the lane.
Swimmers from the ages of 5 to 18 participate in Mon-Thurs evening swim practices from May through July each year, with the opportunity to compete in 7 Saturday swim meets starting in June.

New Swimmers
Has your swimmer not yet swum on a team, or is he/she not really sure how to swim all of the strokes? No problem, they'll learn! We have a great group of coaches, particularly for our younger ages, and they'll all be swimming all four strokes by the end of the season. The only thing your child will need to do is join us at tryouts and swim across the pool (one length, any attempted stroke) unassisted to make the team! (In the event that your swimmer does not pass, your registration will be fully refunded).
Experienced Swimmers
The summer is a great opportunity for any swimmer, particularly those interested in water polo and swim team, to practice, compete and strengthen skills. We encourage participation in all of the Saturday meets, and look forward to seeing our swimmers improve their times and technique as they get closer to the final Champs meet in July!
Practices at Pioneer High School
Unlike many other swim teams, we practice in the late afternoon/evening hours (after work) and you do not need to be associated with a Cabana club to participate!
We encourage you to come to all practices and meets, but it's up to you to decide what is best for your swimmer and your summer schedule.

Your age as of May 31 determines which age you would swim with across the season. Swimmers will swim with their age group at practice unless prior arrangements are made with their coach. If your child is in another sport, you can work with the coach to determine when he/she will attend practice.
